
The delegation of the Association of Turkish Coaster Shipowners and Operators (KOSDER) made a series of important visits in the Netherlands on May 12 and 13.
The first stop of the KOSDER delegation consisting of KOSDER Chairman Hakan Çendik, Secretary General Neslihan Torlak Gönençer, Board Members Hüseyin Uysal and Sinan Atasoy, and Shipping Route Istanbul (SHIPROUTE) International Relations Officer Cansel Ermiş was the Royal Dutch Shipowners' Association (KVNR), which participated in SHIPROUTE on behalf of the guest country the Netherlands. During the visit at KVNR's head office in Rotterdam, KOSDER delegation was welcomed by Annet Koster, General Manager, and Nathan Habers, Communications and External Relations Coordinator. During the meeting, it was stated that the cooperation between KOSDER and KVNR, which started with SHIPROUTE-24, will continue to increase in the coming period and it was also agreed to continue the joint activities between the two organizations. During the visit, the latest developments in the maritime industry were also discussed, and it was emphasized that common problems can be solved in cooperation and thus added value can be provided to the world maritime industry. Finally, evaluations were made regarding Breakbulk 2025, which was held in Rotterdam between May 13-15.

The delegation then visited Norden Shipyard, the Dutch enterprise of Hicri Ercili, one of the member companies of KOSDER. The delegation examined the facilities and received detailed information from the company officials about the services offered by the shipyard to the sector stakeholders.


Lastly, the KOSDER delegation was hosted by Damen Shipyard, one of the world's most important maritime organizations. Damen officials made a detailed presentation to the delegation and provided important information about the company's special designs and future breakthroughs in the field of shipbuilding. The latest developments in the shipbuilding market and potential shipbuilding projects were also among the topics discussed during the meeting.
